On 11th and 12th June, High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), one of inContAlert’s main investors and one of the most active early-stage investors in Europe, hosted its annual Family Day and provided a great platform for its portfolio start-ups, investors, and other companies to network and share knowledge. For the first time in Berlin, the 1,300+ attendees experienced exciting 1-on-1 talks, startup pitches, and panel discussions with well-known and inspiring personalities over the two days. The HTGF Family Day focused on the main topics financing, M&A, and AI, as well as all about the establishment of a startup.
Numerous keynotes highlighted different perspectives on a variety of topics. For example, super angel investor Daniel Gutenberg, an early investor in unicorns such as Facebook, Airbnb, and SumUp, shared inspiring insights from the perspective of an investor looking for new disruptive technologies. Verena Pausder, Chairwoman of the German Start-up Association, joined Alexander Thees, Co-CEO of KfW Capital, and others in a panel discussion on the “State of Entrepreneurship and Start-ups in Germany”, calling for even more public and private funding for start-ups in Germany and the EU and emphasizing the importance of developments and innovations from and for Europe. Dr. Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, also attended the first day of the event and emphasized the need for later-stage financing rounds for German start-ups. In this context, he also announced the launch of the €660 million HTGF Opportunity Fund for growth financing.
On the second day, CEO Dr. Jannik Lockl presented the idea and success story of inContAlert at the Innovation Stage in the Digital Health & MedTech pitch session. Through the various sessions and discussions, many new contacts and insights from other HTGF portfolio start-ups were gathered. Such events provide invaluable opportunities to gain new experiences and perspectives, which in turn drive the development of inContAlert. Anticipation is high for the next HTGF Family Day on May 20/21, 2025.
