inContAlert awarded with “Gründungspreis+” at digital summit of the German Federal Government

As one of six winners of the “Gründungspreis+” out of 220 applications in the “Gründungswettbewerb-Digitale Innovationen”, Dr. Jannik Lockl und Nicolas Ruhland had the chance to present the product on behalf of inContAlert in front of a renowned audience with many well-known decision-makers from politics, business, and science and receive the award.

The award ceremony took place during the 16th German Digital Summit hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate ProtectionAnna Christmann, Member of the German Bundestag and Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Start-ups at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, hosted the award ceremony for the “Gründungswettbewerb- Digitale Innovationen” together with Astrid Frohloff and presented the awards. In addition to the “Gründungspreis+” for exceptional ideas, the winners of the “Gründungspreis” and “Fokuspreis” were also honoured – a total of 21 prizes worth over 300.000 Euros were awarded.

This year’s “Fokuspreis” on the topic of energy efficiency went to the start-up Emidat and was presented by Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. The other awards went to start-ups that address digitalisation in the areas such as sustainability, health, climate change and social issues, seeking solutions to problems that affect the whole society.

The Gründungswettbewerb – Digital Innovations, sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, supports start-up teams with innovative ideas and well-thought-out start-up concepts, particularly in the early stages. It is organised every six months. inContAlert can look forward to prize money as well as advice and support along their development.
