Successful start to 2024 for inContAlert

In the past three months, inContAlert has won several awards and been featured in various media, making the first quarter of 2024 a successful one.

It started with two development project pitches within the DATIpilot funding program of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in mid-January at the Volksbad Jena. Out of 300 applications, 600 projects were invited to pitch, and 150 were ultimately selected. Both projects from inContAlert convinced the participants and received considerable funding for implementation.

inContAlert also won two prizes at the first German edition of the ODDO BHF Young Entrepreneurs Awards at the end of February. The startup was selected in the Social Impact category by a top-class jury and additionally received the People’s Choice Award from the invited audience. The double win resulted in €20,000 in prize money and coaching from the ODDO BHF, BayStartUP, Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland, Futury, High-Tech Gründerfonds, UnternehmerTUM, and Werte-Stiftung ecosystem.

Beyond those wins, inContAlert was featured in VentureCapital magazine in an article on the challenges facing early-stage life science startups in Germany. Handelsblatt also published a Digital Health article on wearables and incontinence, and local radio station Radio Mainwelle featured Dr. Jannik Lockl talking about startup advantages in Bayreuth.

The inContAlert CEO also shared his experiences and insights on healthtech startups in the startupdetector report 2023/2024, which covers the latest startups and funding rounds in the ecosystem.
